Saturday, March 15, 2008 013 - Not Mine On Saturday morning Kara and I were in the town I grew up in to meet up with Matilda and her Mom. The coffee place we met up at was down the street from what used to be the smaller of the bakeries my Dad runs (the small building on the lower left of the photo). You can't really notice it but on the building are all these little rocks attached to the wall. At a young age my Dad had convinced me that he had paid someone a quarter to glue on each rock. One rich dude I bet! I don't know how I never noticed the painted billboard on the building on the top left of the photo. IT'S MY NAME! I've been by here probably thousands of times during my first 20 years of life but somehow this never stuck with me? |
why "live in chicago"? Joan of Arc made a record called "Live in Chicago" and I thought was really good with good artwork and good songs. When I started doing this I had envisioned that it would be focused primarily on my home thus "Live in Chicago" became the title. I've always liked it because I've never known if it was "live" like "I live in Chicago" or "live" like "I saw that band live". I live in Chicago thus it's that "live in Chicago".
